Is anyone here a member of Body Renew Fitness Studio in Anchorage? I have an orientation appointment tomorrow to see what it's about but I thought I'd ask if anyone here has an opinion. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Hello, I live in Anchorage and I'm going to be moving at the end of this month. I was wondering if anyone has any boxes they would like to sell or get rid of? If so, please let me know and I will happily take them off your hands.

Thanks!

melissad
Hey everyone! Sipping Streams Tea Company has just opened a tea house in Fairbanks. They are doing a grand opening on Friday, April 3rd from 5pm to 7pm. There will be free tea and food!!!

I just stopped by there today and had a very yummy, natural(no sugar), mango green tea smoothie and a wonderful salmon salad sandwich (with no crusts!).

They are in the building by Gullivers downstairs from Wok n Roll (where the magic carpet used to be).

What: Sipping Streams Tea House opening
Where: Downstairs from Wok n' Roll (where the old Magic Carpet was)
When: Friday, April 3rd 5pm - 7pm

Free tea and food!!

Best place to rent in Anchorage Apr. 13th, 2008 @ 08:48 pm

Hi all,
we are relatively new in Anchorage. Right now we live just off Tudor, next to UAA housing. It is a very convenient location, never the less there are plenty of less than savory types in the area, heck, I had to call the cops three times myself, once on my neighbor, and twice because of some brawling going on just outside of my windows. every week cops come by at least once.
We have a baby on the way and would like to move to a better area. But we are not sure where to look. Online reviews are pretty scarce. One place we were kind of leaning towards turned out to be a total dump and the reviewers were quite unanimous about it.
Maybe someone could recommend a semi-decent place? We are considering Admiral's Cove on  Debarr, but again, it's a nice place surrounded by projects, so I dunno...

Thanks

Rabbit Creek Preschool Oct. 1st, 2007 @ 07:47 pm

It's called Rabbit Creek Preshool (they are in the phonebook) but they are actually in the Ocean
View area. The school is the model that MOA uses when letting any new preschool get licensed & they are completely run by parent committee so you really do have a say in how your child is taught. They also run as a non-profit so the costs are very reasonble. Unfortunately, because RCP is non-profit it means that they really need all spots filled in the school & right now the 4's pm class is only half filled. As you can imagine this is causing quite a financial hardship. So, please spread the word. Thanks!!!!

My friend (yes, really, not me) is trying to find an OB in Anchorage who works on a sliding scale. She could go to Planned Parenthood, but they can't get her in for quite a while.

Know of anyone?
